My personal passion is to assist people in achieving their holistic landscape and life design goals through the lens of permaculture, embodiment practices, and preventative healthcare. I guide others to implementing common-sense, life-giving design and restoration tools that generate hope, resilience, and deep connection, modeled by Nature’s intelligent set of principles. I have been deeply humbled by the epiphanies of clients and students awakening consciousness, mindfulness, and strengthening the inter-relationship of people and their sense of place and belonging on Earth.”

eliza rose Laubach, Client Relations Specialist / Field Staff (they/she) is a clinical herbalist, gardener, writer and caregiver. A plant person at heart, their Midwestern and Pacific Northwest upbringing with a prairie-conservationist, avid gardener, houseplant tender and landscape designer mother, inspired eliza to follow the plant path. Rooting in Tsa'la'guwetiyi (Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians) territory of WNC has opened the way for this connection to plants to blossom, alongside a deepened study in social + climate justice. eliza is passionate about weaving together diverse threads of cultural change to foster balance and healing in a world impacted by climate chaos and the harmful systems that led to it, all the while with dirt under her fingernails. With a foundation in journalism + community organizing, and studies in herbalism the past 10 years, eliza brings their way with words, plants + people to the fore with Healing Roots Design.
