Healing Roots Design LLC is a woman-owned landscape design company established in 2009. We are located in Western North Carolina and offer our services throughout the country (via virtual consultations). We provide transformative solutions for residential and commercial clients that increase the value of their outdoor experiences.
Our design philosophy integrates Regenerative Life Design™, by creating inspiring, meaningful designs that with nature’s help, nourish and heal clients’ inner landscapes. Healing Roots Design Founder Keri Evjy is a local leader of this growing movement and in 2022 authored the book: Regenerative Life Design Playbook. Keri Evjy, Owner, Founder and CEO is a creative entrepreneur, teacher, permaculture designer, author, artist and community revitalist, committed to the healing of people and planet. She empowers others to be proactive agents of social and ecological change, building resilience and beauty. Her forte is project management, planning and coordination, edible and medicinal plant consultation and installation, herbalism, social restoration systems, communication and connecting the dots.
Keri is also the Founder and CEO of Regenerative Life Design, LLC, and author of the Regenerative Life Design Playbook, which brings nature's principles to life design. Keri resides on a cooperatively owned homestead in the southern Appalachian mountains, in the unceded lands of the Eastern Band of the Cherokee. |
My personal passion is to assist people in achieving their holistic landscape and life design goals through the lens of permaculture, embodiment practices, and preventative healthcare. I guide others to implementing common-sense, life-giving design and restoration tools that generate hope, resilience, and deep connection, modeled by Nature’s intelligent set of principles. I have been deeply humbled by the epiphanies of clients and students awakening consciousness, mindfulness, and strengthening the inter-relationship of people and their sense of place and belonging on Earth.” ~ Keri Evjy

Michael Bartholme, Lead Installer and Designer Consultant is a third generation mason, with a background in industrial arts and appropriate tech. Michael has extensive knowledge in whole systems, permaculture, water management, structures, ponds, hardscaping, site logistics, planning and videography.

Sunil Patel is a farmer of 15 years, and a food systems change advocate. He has an urban farm in Asheville, NC and grows produce, herbs, eggs, and flowers. He also cooks farm to table for pop-up suppers and catering. He helped found Patchwork Alliance Cooperative in 2020. Sunil lives in West Asheville with his dog, Sweety, and in his downtime he enjoys hiking, skiing, and cooking.

Our stellar field staff is made up of skilled permaculturists, avid gardeners, arborists, hardscapers and naturalists dedicated to creating and maintaining beautiful, thriving outdoor spaces.
